Jonell Carr, 58, of Anderson passed away on Friday, April 9th, 2010 after a lengthy illness.Jonell was born in Russell Springs, KY on August 12, 1951, the daughter of Alvin L. and Vontrice (Smith) Brown.She loved her savior, her family, her grandchildren-she loved life. Joe was always willing to help provide party planning & decorative ideas. Her Skills of party planning and decorating was enjoyed by all.She was a cosmetology instructor at the House of James in Muncie for 6 years & worked as a military pay technitian retiring after 20 years. She is survived by husband Denny Carr, sons Brian Knight (Jane), Dan Carr (Maxine), Randy Carr (Elysia), Daughter Bobbie Tarr (Jesse), sisters Terry Kelly (Brad) and Jackie Hancher (Bill), brother Michael Brown and 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildrenJonell was preceded in death by her father Alvin and brother Jerry Brown.A Celebration of Life will be held at Community Church in Alexandria, IN, at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 15th, with Pastor Mike Robbins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society

Just learned of Jo’s passing. I worked with her in Retired Pay and Military Pay. My husband and I attended her 50th birthday party and I will never forget her face when Elvis impersonator appeared and sang to her. She will be greatly missed. My husband (Bob) and I send our deepest sympathy and condolences to Denny and the entire family.
